Works Labourer

Looking for a summer job that keeps you active and outdoors? The Town of Wolseley is hiring a Summer Student in the capacity of a Public Works Labourer.

What the job entails:

•         Full-time summer position
•       Work outdoors and stay active
•         Hands-on experience with equipment and matinenance
•       Competitive wages

What you’ll be doing:

•        Operate equipment such as trucks, tractors,
  mowers, and other tools
•         Perform general maintenance tasks like mowing,
  tree pruning, and upkeep of public spaces
•         Complete a variety of outdoor duties as assigned
  by the Public Works Foreman
•         Work independently while following established
  procedures and safety standards
•  

We’re looking for someone who:

•           Energetic, reliable, and motivated
•          Able to work both independently and as part of a
  team
•         Comfortable interacting with the public in a
  friendly, professional manner
•         A strong problem-solver with good communication
  skills
•         Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
•         Comfortable with bending, kneeling, stretching,
  and reaching
•         Willing to work outdoors in all weather
  conditions

Requirements 

Valid driver’s licence
